SUDBURY COMPUTER RECYCLING
What can I do? If you have laptops that you are no longer using, please consider donating before destroying so we can revive them and make them available to people who simply can’t afford to purchase new ones.
With today’s new technologies, our older computers are unable to cope with the increasing computing demands of the newest software or operating systems. Often, a few simple hardware upgrades is all it takes to revive an older computer at a much cheaper cost then buying a new one.

What About Unusable Parts?
All computer parts that are either unusable or unrepairable will be disposed of at collection centers managed under the Ontario Electronics Stewardship (OES) program. This program is great, unfortunately, many of the computers brought directly to these drop off centers are destroyed even though they could be revived with a little TLC.
Contact me before turning in your used laptops to these drop off centers. We can still put them to good use and help people in the process. Do not under-estimate the power of creativity.
Why Recycle?
Computers contain toxic materials such as mercury and lead. We all know how bad that can be for our environment and the future of our children…
Re-using also diminishes the demand on our natural resources which allows those resources to replenish themselves. Producing those resources also damages our environment which is why re-using is so important.
A leader leads by example, whether he intends to or not.
